Kooyong District Athletics Carnival 2023 

I would like to congratulate Auburn South students on a wonderfully successful District Athletics Carnival. The students were brilliant in their individual and team performances on the day with Auburn South winning the points for the most placings in the top three. 

Auburn South did amazing in the 4x100m relay with every team qualifying in first or second place for Division. 

The final points standing for the District Athletics Carnival had Auburn South placed on 134 points ahead of Canterbury on 94 points in second place and 70 points to Camberwell in third overall. 

I would like to congratulate the following students on qualifying for the Division Athletics Carnival.

• Hurdles: Lucy Devine and Lenny Miratana
• 100m: Grace Tallis and Afnan Hasan
• 200m: Grace Tallis, Lana Stewart and Juan Deetlefs
• 800m: Fiona Ryu, Isabelle Zhou, Jonah Tossoun, Louis Lindeman, Ryan Deetlefs and Sam Tallis
• 1500m: Fiona Ryu, Jonah Tossoun, Lewie Lindeman and Archer McKenzie McHarg
• 4 x 100m Relay: 

• High Jump: William Hui
• Long Jump: Ella Mae Varty
• Triple Jump: Ryan Deetlefs and Sam Tallis
• Discus: Lenny Miratana
• Shot Put: Ben Perovic and Huon Beattie
