Go the Matildas!

Springvale Rise Primary School, like the rest of Australia, thoroughly enjoyed joining together to support the Matildas in their World Cup finals campaign. It was wonderful to see our entire school dressed up in green and gold, watching the soccer finals in their breaks, playing soccer at lunchtime and learning all about the importance of teamwork.  We cannot wait to see these elite athletes play for Australia at the Olympic Games in Paris next year. Roll on 2024! 

A Shout Out to the Staff of Springvale Rise Primary School

A “shout out” to all our amazing staff at Springvale Rise Primary School.  We are very lucky to have so many committed teachers and education support staff working collaboratively to make every day a great day for all your children.  I was so impressed with their efforts with their Book Week costumes this year and we couldn’t pick a winning campus. So there will be a special congratulatory morning tea for all our staff coming up very soon! 😊

I would also like to take this opportunity to formally recognise Mrs Mary Sampieri (our Wellbeing Leader on Springvale Campus) for receiving a recognition award for 35 years of service in the Department of Education. This award was presented to her by our Regional Director Mr Ian Burrage at a special ceremony attended by other award winners, Department staff and family members. Mrs Sampieri has chosen to spend most of her career working in schools in the City of Greater Dandenong; many of those years working in the Wellbeing space. She has made a difference to the lives of many children and young people. And in turn, has support their extended families as well. Please take the time to congratulate Mrs Sampieri for reaching this outstanding milestone.
