Wellbeing

A heartfelt thank you to all the parents who joined our recent Well‑Being Information Session. Your participation and interest help build the foundation for a supportive school culture—thank you for being part of this journey.

This week at our lunchtime club, students began a compliment chain to celebrate kindness as part of Bullying Prevention Week. We hope to finish this in coming weeks and find a fitting place to display it. Across the school, classes also took part in activities, with some groups connecting live with Kids Helpline to hear practical strategies for staying safe and supporting friends.

In my own work, I’ve been reflecting on Lost at School by Ross Greene, who reminds us that “kids do well if they can.” It’s a simple but powerful reminder that behaviour is about skills, not willpower. Greene has also written other books that are specifically for parents and carers if you are interested in learning more.

Together, we’re continuing to build a community where every child feels supported and able to thrive.
