On the 25th of July, our Junior AFLW girls proudly competed at the Northern Metropolitan Region (NMR) football competition, showcasing their skill and determination. Our senior students have been actively involved in NMR events, including the Senior Badminton competition on the 31st of July and the Senior Netball competition on the 1st of August. Most recently, our Intermediate Soccer team competed at the NMR level on the 8th of August, showing great teamwork and resilience. Finally, a special highlight of the term has been the qualification of six of our students for the State Cross Country Championships – congratulations to Eliza Spear, Oskar Jacobson, Zayne Shaw, Asher Knuckey, Lucy Johns, and Emily Keywood on this outstanding accomplishment; we are very proud of you all.
On the 27th of June, our girls’ academy team faced St Monica’s and delivered an impressive performance, securing a well-deserved win. Additionally, our Football and Basketball Academy students undertook their Semester 2 testing on the 29th of July, helping track their individual progress and develop future training goals. This Thursday the 7th of august we had the privilege of welcoming current Carlton VFL player and 2024 graduate, Taj Logan, who joined our Year 8/9 Football Academy for our fortnightly training session at Anthony Beale Football Oval. His visit was a valuable experience for our students, who gained insights into professional-level preparation and mindset.
