Kindergarten are starting to learn about subtraction in Maths. Each class has a jar of cookies at the front of their room which sneaky teachers are stealing from. During our Maths lessons the children work out how many cookies have been take and write a number sentence to show their understanding of subtraction.
Writing - Mrs. Bournes' group debated whether Gorillas should or should not be kept in zoos to help them brainstorm ideas for their writing. The children then used graphic organised to plan their persuasive writing.
This week Year 1 students have been writing their OWN class newsletter and learning how to tie their shoelaces.
Religion
In Religion, the students are learning that the whole of creation is interconnected and are exploring its beauty and diversity.

English
In English, the students are extending their learning in different ways.

In Maths, we are sharing collections (Division).

Students estimate the number of M & Ms in a pack and how many their friends will have if they share them among a certain number of friends.

In Science, we continue to learn how pushes and pulls (forces) affect the movement of objects.
Students plan their arcade game where they get to experiment with the forces of push and pull.

We continue to receive postcards from Australia and around the world in Geography. Thank you very much to the family and friends of Year 2.
