Our Year 9 students have now completed their subject selections for Year 10 – an exciting step in shaping their learning pathways. This was a daunting process for some, but the world is still their oyster if they don't really know what future direction will suit them. They will find their path, however long it may take!
Well done to students and parents for completing their web preferences by the due date too.
Early next term, students will have the chance to review and make minor subject adjustments, if possible. Looking ahead, additionally, all Year 9s will participate in the Morrisby career profiling program next term to explore their strengths and future options.
We are very proud of some Year 9 students who continue to shine as active leaders and contributors to the National Youth Collective. A future report coming.
Recently, it was also great to see Year 9 students participating in the school musical, Shrek. They showcased their creativity and teamwork in a range of roles: on stage; playing in the band; as backstage/lighting 'ninjas' and front of house welcomers. As an audience member who laughed and smiled throughout the show, I came out singing, "I'm a believer!" Well done to all the students involved and to those students who quietly take school opportunities to extend their school experiences, outside the classroom, in the Arts, Sporting and Debating arenas this term. Keep believing in yourself and your potential to thrive, both in and outside the classroom.
