Week 3 Greeting
It’s hard to believe how quickly the weather has been changing lately! One moment we’re enjoying sunshine, and the next we’re reaching for our jackets. As we move through these unpredictable spring days, I’d like to remind everyone to take care of themselves and their families. Please make sure students are dressed appropriately for the weather each day, and for those windy afternoons, keep hats and jackets handy. Families of children with asthma should take extra care on windy days, as pollen and dust levels can rise quickly.
Intra School Session
Following the success of our intra-school transition sessions introduced last year, we are thrilled to continue this wonderful initiative again this term. Prior to last year, our Meet the Teacher Day was the only opportunity for students to experience a transition activity. However, after seeing how positively students responded, we have expanded our approach to include a series of sessions that allow our current Prep–Year 5 students to spend time with their 2026 cohort in their future learning spaces. Please note that the groups students are placed in during these sessions are not their final classes for next year. Our younger students in Prep and Year 1 have thoroughly enjoyed sharing reading activities together, while our older students have had great fun participating in a variety of outdoor sporting games. Our next session will take place next Friday, and we will have a whole-school lunch on Friday 28 November where students will enjoy eating outdoors with their 2026 cohort—a fantastic opportunity to build friendships and confidence for the year ahead.
Policy Updates
We also want to let our community know that several school policies were recently reviewed and updated by our School Council.
- CPS Anaphylaxis Policy
 - CPS Purchasing Card Policy
 - CPS Student Dress Code Policy (update in the Appendix A)
 - CPS Communication School Staff Policy

These will be updated on the Website early next week.
Snapshots from the Classroom
In this week’s Snapshot from the Classroom, both highlights come from our outdoor learning spaces. In Physical Education, Miss Molloy invited a Taekwondo instructor to lead sessions where students learnt a range of new skills and exercises associated with the sport. The students were highly engaged and enthusiastic as they explored the discipline and movement involved. Miss Molloy has also been busy organising our Jump Rope for Heart activities, encouraging students to pick up a skipping rope whenever they can. The atmosphere this morning was absolutely fantastic, with many of our parents and teachers joining in to skip alongside the students. A big thank you to Miss Molloy for her energy, creativity, and for helping our students stay active and have fun!
