Koorie Education

Last week, Koorie students had the opportunity to participate in an incursion with Aboriginal artist N’Dene Riley. N’Dene is a Parrdarrama Pungenna and Six Rivers Aboriginal artist, who earlier in the year joined our Year 7’s to teach them about art. 

During this session, N’Dene talked through the art and walked students through creating their own designs on clap sticks. Clap sticks are an instrument used by Aboriginal people to create rhythm and music during ceremonies. Thank you to our KESO, Meagan McGann, for also joining us.
