2026 Student Leadership

Over the last few weeks, we have begun the process of selecting the Student Leadership Team for 2026. This most recently began with the school application process whereby year 11 students were able to apply to be College Captain. Each student had to write an application, addressing four criteria, and submit a peer and staff endorsement.

This year we had the largest number of students apply for school captain with 21 applications received. This demonstrates a great commitment from our students with their eagerness to represent the student body and our College as a whole.

Whilst the decisions are still being finalised, it has been a rigorous process to select our captains for next year. Following the shortlisting by myself, our Principal Josie Millard and the 2025 College Captains, 11 students were interviewed. Eight students made it to the next round to deliver speeches to students and staff at a whole school assembly held on Monday, 27 October in the stadium. Each applicant outlining why they believed they would be the best person to lead our school.

Students and staff were then given the opportunity to vote for their preferred College Captain. Other positions will be advertised, applied for and appointed over the next few weeks.
