Year 12 – Pathway support for 2026
Year 12 students should be viewing the Year 12 Teams (Careers) platform and Compass emails where the following information has been sent.
VTAC
VTAC support is still available during the remainder of the year by coming to C3s office and arranging a time/day.
Do not forget to keep looking at the Checklist requirements on your VTAC Home Page and complete these. This includes a Personal Statement to be completed by 5/12/25 at 5:00pm. Even if your course or courses don’t require one now, if you add a course during the change of preference period and the course requires a Personal Statement, you won't be able to create one at the later date.
The Checklist will be where the Nursing English Language Proficiency form is, where CASPER, UCAT and other pre-requisite requirements are listed.
You must also keep checking your VTAC 'inbox' and your personal email provided to VTAC for any other requirements or information VTAC needs to advise you of.
Finalise your eight VTAC preferences by 5th December, 5:00pm.
Ensure you have at least one VTAC preference with a year 12 pass as the pre-requisite. You know you will receive an offer then.
Pay by 31/10/25 at 5:00pm, if you have not already paid for VTAC.
Key Dates for offers and change of preference periods as well as information about how the process works.

DESTINATION DATA
Do not forget to email Ms Crawley with what you are doing next year (course, job, apprenticeship, etc.) before 20 December, 2025. Amy.Crawley@education.vic.gov.au
Support for students wanting to apply for an Apprenticeship/Traineeship, Police Force, Defence Force, look for work or apply to institutions interstate or overseas can still be made via a one-on-one appointment with Mrs Crawley at Karen.Crawley@education.vic.gov.au
Further information will be posted as it is received.
It is important all year 12 students/parents read Compass emails as this
is the best way to communicate while students have exams or have
finished their studies. Karen Crawley will continue to communicate and
support students until the close of the school year.
Years 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11 – Careers Information
Any student who has not yet completed a Career Action Plan to date, must come and see Mrs Crawley in C3s during Term 4 to make an appointment. If you are unsure, please come and ask.
Year 11 VCE VM Students – Structured Workplace Learning Recognition (SWLR)
All year 11 VCE VM students will be undertaking their Structured Workplace Learning on Monday 10 November to Friday 19 November, 2025. If you do not have a placement, you must see Mr Hobba and Mrs McKeon as you will be required to attend school.
Vocational Education and Training (VET)
VET in 2026
All senior students have now concluded their course counselling sessions and where required selected a VET (Certificate II or III course in schools) as part of their educational/year level program. To be enrolled in a VET course by the school, all students must have a USI number. Please provide this number to Amanda Komen at Amanda.Komen@education.vic.gov.au or Amy.Crawley@education.vic.gov.au as soon as possible, so that every effort can be made to secure your child’s place in their preferred course.
To obtain a USI – see link below: -
https://www.usi.gov.au/students/create-your-usi
Note, the school cannot enrol a student into a VET course without a USI, which means you may miss obtaining a place in a course you would like without providing the VET office with your USI.
If you know you have requested to go to a Chisholm VETDSS course for next year, please ensure you check your emails for any online VETASSESS and enrolment requirements you must complete. Any queries, please contact Ms. Crawley or Ms. Komen (Amy.Crawley@education.vic.gov.au or Amanda.Komen@education.vic.gov.au).
VCE VM – Year 11 and 12 2026 and your VET Course for 2026
If you are a VCE VM student in year 11 or 12 in 2026 and have not confirmed your VET course for next year, you must see Mrs Komen or Ms Crawley in C3s to confirm a course placement.
