Let’s finish the 2025 school year on a strong note!
As we are on the home stretch to the end of the year I just wanted to reach out and please ask that we try hard to finish strong!! Maybe it is just me that finds this time of year an obstacle to be overcome but I highly doubt I could be alone in this!! This time of year gets busy and we are all at risk of becoming a little overwhelmed and stretched for time and energy, we can be a little inclined to forget our common courtesies and be a little less forgiving or a little less patient or a little less motivated. However, on the flip side, it also provides a time for us to shine through and try and make these last few weeks of the school year, productive, enjoyable and positive for one another.
I myself found myself whinging this week about this time of year and how it is when I feel the most snowed under with lots of deadlines to meet, and things to organise and social events and while you are wrapping up this year you are having to do lots of planning and thinking ahead to next year but really I need to change my mindset and think about all the positive and wonderful things we have done this year and celebrate that. There have been some incredible wins this year in and out of the classroom and that is exciting. It is also motivational to think about all the opportunities we can plan for next year.
So, as we charge to the end of the year, I would just like to highlight (with some help of a few different websites out there) some of the things we can do to ensure we do finish the 2025 school year on a strong note!
Keep to routines as much as possible. Don’t drop the ball early!
Attendance is just as important at the end of the year as it is all through the year.
Make sure that you are getting the recommended hours of sleep each night.
Remember that what you eat and drink fuels your body. Fill it with processed/sugary or fatty foods and your body will run with less gusto or energy. Fill it with a healthy balanced diet and plenty of water and you will have the necessary fuel to charge on through with a bounce in your step.
Remember a positive mindset shines through.
Try to make someone else’s day just that little bit better – everyone benefits!
Write a list of all the things you want to do achieve in the holidays and once you cross the finish line – start on your list! Then you can take the time to recharge the batteries.
Hope that might help!
Looking forward to celebrating the many achievements and successes of the school year with you over the next few weeks.
