Principal’s Message

Welcome to Term Two. We have had an exciting start to the term, participating in a number of important school and community events.

Staff participated in a professional learning session run by Berry Street Education Model, on Monday, 20th April, while students enjoyed one last sleep-in to end the school holidays! The focus of the day was student engagement and building stamina in learning, with all staff coming away with new strategies to use in the classroom.

It was great to see the enthusiasm from competitors and supporters at our Cross Country on Thursday, 23rd April. It was heartwarming to watch the students cheer each other on, with some even running an extra lap of the course to support their younger peers.

Congratulations to our School Captain, Ellie, for confidently reading a prayer at the Boggabri ANZAC Day Service on Saturday. Families and students respectfully participated in the march and service, with Lachlan and Ellie laying a wreath on behalf of Sacred Heart School.

Last weekend was a busy one in the Boggabri community with the running of the annual Drover's Campfire. Students were invited to sing the National Anthem at the opening ceremony and I thank those that were able to attend. Our school leaders were up early on Sunday morning to cook bacon and eggs for the campers as part of their Year 6 fundraising efforts. Thank you Lachlan and Ellie, and those that were there to assist.

Our Sacred Heart Little Stars Transition Program continues each Friday in the library. Students are learning what school is all about and enjoying building friendships with others. Our official enrolment period for 2027 will begin next week. If you know of any families wishing to enrol their child at Sacred Heart in 2027, please keep an eye out for further information and a link to the online enrolment portal.
