Two Weeks to Go!
It is hard to believe we are already heading into the final two weeks of Term 3! It has been another busy and exciting term at Edgeworth Public School, with our students continuing to learn, grow and make the most of the many opportunities available to them.
Over the past few weeks, we have seen our students achieve wonderful things both in and outside the classroom. From sporting achievements and student leadership initiatives to learning celebrations and community events, it has been fantastic to see our students representing our school with such pride, enthusiasm and positive attitudes.
Although we only have two weeks remaining, there is still plenty happening across the school. We look forward to making the most of these final weeks and continuing to celebrate the achievements of our students and the incredible work of our staff.
DUGs Day Breakfast
Thank you to everyone who joined us last Friday morning for our DUGS Day breakfast! It was wonderful to see our school community come together to celebrate and connect.
Your presence and support helped make the event a great success, and we appreciate everyone who took the time to attend. We look forward to continuing to foster a strong and supportive environment at our school
Term 3 SEL-ebration Day
What a wonderful day of learning, reflection and connection we had at our Term 3 SEL-ebration Day!
Students from Kindergarten to Year 6 came together to reflect on the social and emotional learning they have undertaken throughout the term. Our learning was proudly led by our Year 5 and Year 6 student leaders, who did an incredible job facilitating activities and supporting younger students throughout the day.
Students reflected on their Quality World and the people, places and things that are important to them. They also explored our Ways of Working in Our Playground, thinking about how we want our playground spaces to feel and what we can all do to ensure they are safe, inclusive and engaging places for everyone.
Our students also explored the social and emotional competencies of regulation and resilience, considering how these skills support us not only throughout our school day, but throughout our lives. Students had opportunities to reflect on strategies they can use to manage their emotions, respond to challenges and bounce back when things don't go as planned.
Our SEL-ebration Day is always a wonderful opportunity for our school community to come together, with students learning from and with one another across all year groups. A huge thank you to our Year 5 and 6 leaders for their leadership and to our staff for creating such meaningful opportunities for our students to reflect, connect and grow.
Kindy Enrolment and Meetings
Our Kindergarten interviews are currently taking place as part of our transition to school program for 2027. These interviews are a very important part of welcoming our newest students and their families to Edgeworth Public School.
The interviews provide us with a wonderful opportunity to begin getting to know each child as an individual, their interests, strengths, personality and experiences before they officially start school. Just as importantly, they provide an opportunity for us to begin building positive and trusting relationships with parents and carers and establish a strong partnership from the very beginning.
We are looking forward to meeting our 2027 Kindergarten students and beginning this exciting journey together!
If you have a child starting Kindergarten in 2027 and have not yet enrolled, please contact our school office. We would love to welcome your family to our wonderful school community.
Volunteers Needed for the Canteen
Our school canteen is looking for more volunteers, just an hour of your time can make a big difference! Whether you’re available in the morning or afternoon, any help between 8:30am and 2:30pm is greatly appreciated. If you’re interested, please email eps_canteen@live.com.au to register your interest.
