GRADE 6 BOYS SOCCER TOURNAMENT 2024

By Liam and Isaac

On Wednesday morning/afternoon Isaac, Liam, Tom, Gus, Riley, Kyan, Manuel, Mitchell, Jonathan and Henry all went to the soccer carnival in Epsom.

We played 6 games and won 4 and lost 2. It was a lot of fun! All the games went for 20 minutes and we got a 20 minute break in between games. While we were on our break we watched the girls play - the girls did great! The forecast was meant to be raining and freezing but luckily it changed overnight and when we got there it was only a little cold and windy, which was great. We played Marist, Spring Gully, St Joseph's, St Killians, Kennington and Maiden Gully. A lot of those teams were strong but we held our ground and won a couple games! Isaac kicked 3 goals, Riley 2 goals, Mitchell 2 goals and Kyan 1 goal. Mr. V coached the boys at the carnival and helped us kick goals and win games, so all thanks to Mr. V!

Thanks to Mr. Coates for giving us a chance to play at the soccer carnival, and for setting everything up. And thanks to the parents that came along and cheered us on, and thanks to Jack and Toby for volunteering to referee.
