Senior School

Well, we've reached the end of the semester! It has absolutely flown by but it has also been full of incredible learning, achievements and activities! We hope everyone enjoys the mid-year break and come back refreshed and recharged for another productive semester!

IN OUR LEARNING

Reading: We concluded our focus text 'Boy Overboard', exploring inferences, common themes, questioning and text connections.

Writing:  Our main focus in the last couple of weeks was on Procedures. We completed a number of procedures, focusing on correct structure. We then expanded this into Procedural Narratives, telling stories that include the key procedural features.

Maths:  Our main work in Maths was on collecting and analysing data and turning these into different types of graphs. We also explored BODMAS, which the students really enjoyed!

Humanities:  We wrapped up our Business unit with presentations of our projects. It was incredible to see so many wonderful business and product ideas! They were super creative!

CAMP

Camp was an absolute blast! For our first visit to 'The Summit', we enjoyed the large array of activities that included a Flying Fox, Giant Swing, Rock Wall, Inflatable Course and Bush Challenge. Students challenged themselves to overcome some of their fears, whilst also working together to encourage each other or support each other to achieve different goals!

STATE SCHOOLS SPECTACULAR

We had the very special privilege of welcoming Dance Director Deon to our school on Tuesday to run our Victorian State Schools Spectacular group through their choreography! 

Deon was super impressed with the hard work these legends have put in so far and we were so grateful to share this with him!
