From Mr Mati Azadzoi

Dear Parent/Guardian/Carer/Students and Staff,

Well done to all our students on surviving a long cold Term! This Term has been very busy, and our students have managed to keep up and achieve some marvellous outcomes. We wish all our families a safe and happy holiday. Please be reminded that school commences back on Monday 15th July, 8.50am. Term 3 Calendar will be released in Week 1 of Term 3.

Semester 1 reports will be live on Compass from 28th of June, 3.30 pm. If you wish to discuss anything about your child's report, please contact the classroom teacher via email on Compass.

May-Aussie of the Month:  Zain M

"Zain demonstrates our school values everyday through his actions, words and behaviour. He constantly thinks of others and is quick to offer kind words and support to those who need it. Zain gives 100% of his attention and warmth to others to ensure they know he values and appreciates them. He takes pride in our school and works to maintain a happy environment for others. Zain’s smile lights up everyone’s day and he is a genuine asset to our school. We are very proud to award Zain the May Aussie of the Month Award".

Whole School Wellbeing Day

On Thursday 20th of June all students engaged in Wellbeing day. Kids participated in mindfulness activities, coloring, puzzles, and health-based activities. Our staff cooked egg and bacon sandwiches as part of the day. The kids loved it and some even commented that it was "the best sandwich ever".  Further to this, all of our students looked warm and cozy with their colourful PJ’s as part of the day.

Camp-The Summit

Our kids had an awesome time at 'The Summit' Camp. They engaged in adventurous tasks and challenged themselves out of their comfort zone. The feedback was that it had been one of the best camps attended by students and staff. A special thanks to Ms Waldron for leading the camp and bringing back everyone safely. A big thanks to Mr D, Ms P, Ms Dyt, Ms Boddy, Ms Augustus, Ms Vogel, Mr Venning and Mr Shaw for going above and beyond on the 3 days/nights. You guys are all legends.

Little Learners Love Literacy

Our school will be introducing Little Learners Love Literacy from Term 4. Our staff are in the process of training which commences in Term 3. Our school will be adopting a Science of Reading approach including following Explicit Instruction across Prep to Grade 2. This is an evidence-based approach to teaching literacy.  We are very excited about this coming to our school.
