We the community members of Launching Place Primary School acknowledge the traditional owners, the Kulin nations, of the land on which we learn and play.

We pay respects to the Aboriginal Elders, past and present, who are our teachers.

We thank them for taking care of children and country for countless generations.

Prep enrolments

Prep enrolments for 2025 are now open and we are receiving applications already. 

Please head to our school website if you wish to secure a place for any younger siblings in 2025!

Our school is using an online system for new Foundation (Prep) enrolments to Victorian government schools, called VicStudents.

CSEF

I would like to remind you that the deadline for Camps Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) applications is approaching on 28 June 2024.

If you possess a healthcare card or pension card, you may meet the criteria for eligibility to apply for the CSEF.

The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund aims to ensure that every student has the opportunity to participate in important, educational, and enjoyable activities with their peers. School camps provide valuable outdoor experiences, excursions enhance understanding of the world, and sports promote teamwork, discipline, and leadership skills - all essential components of a well-rounded curriculum.

The Victorian Government is providing the CSEF to support qualifying families with the expenses associated with sporting trips, camps, and sports initiatives. If you currently hold a Health Care card, please approach Audrey in the office to obtain the necessary 2024 CSEF form.Payment amounts

Payments for 2024 are

:$150 per year for eligible primary school students

Community Pantry

Please remember to utilize the resources provided by the Community Pantry located in the school foyer.

Everyone is welcome to help themselves.

 

Absences

Timely notification of student absences is crucial. If your child is unable to attend school, please ensure you notify the school before 9:30am on the day of the absence. This can be done by logging the absence into the Compass system or by calling the school directly at 59647783. Thank you for your cooperation.

Safe computer use

LPPS wants to help our students to be  empowered when using digital technologies safely and appropriately to reach their personal best and fully equip them to contribute positively to society as happy, healthy young adults.  Safe and appropriate use of digital technologies including the internet, apps, computers and tablets provide students with rich opportunities to support learning and development in a range of ways.

When students use their computers at school, access to social media platforms and YouTube is blocked through the statewide settings of the Department of Education who provide our Wi-Fi and internet.

Holiday Break
