This week students are learning to apply their understanding of the purpose and features of transactional texts, specifically postcards and emails.

VOCABULARY

Types of Emails:

(e.g., formal emails, informal emails, thank-you emails, request emails).

Postcards: Personal, short sharp messages sent through the post, primarily when an individual is on holidays 

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Students can write an informal postcard to their favourite relative outside of the home they live in.
