Design & Technologies at Marist Sion College

Design & Technologies week was celebrated across Victoria from May 27-3. During this week, we took the time to celebrate the work being completed in our Design & Technology classes. Design and Technologies education at Marist Sion offers a hands on learning experience for students in a fun and creative environment. Here are some highlights of the week from just some of our classes.

Our Year 9 Making a Model in Wood class pictured, where every member has completed a magnificent little storage footstool. The projects are very high quality and the students have had a lot of fun making them, even listening to music whilst they are using the tools in the Technology Workshop.

Our Year 7 Materials Technology classes have been using plastic and creating key rings whilst learning about the design concepts. Our Textiles students have been creating a variety of different designs using a range of sewing techniques including applique to create some fantastic quilts.
