School Anxiety:

Evidence suggests that attending school regularly has become difficult for a significant number of school aged children and young people. Our job as parents and carers is to help our adolescents learn how to manage the challenges of life. We do this by equipping them with the skills they need to function. One of these skill is consistent attendance at school where they learn not only academic information but also how to navigate different types of relationships and learn about themselves. This week we have included a link to a webinar that will assist families for whom regular school attendance is a challenge.

I'm teaming up with one of my faves, Michelle Mitchell, for a chat about school anxiety - and I can't wait! We'd love you to join us. You may remember days when you didn’t want to go to school. Today’s kids and teens experience exactly the same thing but perhaps on a greater scale. Not only do they experience more academic pressure, but their sense of social stability has imploded with the advancement of technology. We want to help you get them to school, and discover their important place in the world. This webinar is going to give you the ‘how’. As part of the webinar, we'll be answering your questions. You are very welcome to submit any questions when you register for the webinar, or if you think of them after you've registered, please send them to me at karen@heysigmund.com.
