LEADERSHIP TEAM

Mr. Justin Matt, Mr. Brad Vallance, Mr. Josh Willersdorf

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are officially past the halfway mark of term 2! The term is moving incredibly fast so it is important to take a moment to update you on some recent happenings at Red Cliffs Secondary College.

Firstly, I am delighted to share that our Year 10 students have just completed their Work Experience week. The feedback from local businesses and organisations has been overwhelmingly positive, and we are grateful for their support in providing valuable real-world experience to our students.

Additionally, our Student Representative Council (SRC) has been incredibly active lately, organising successful whole school events such as Do it For Dolly Day and IDAHOBIT Day. These events were executed smoothly, thanks to the dedication of our SRC and Wellbeing team, who organised fantastic activities during lunchtime while raising money for a great cause.

I'm thrilled to announce that some of our Leadership staff attended the Mallee Area Principal Forum in Swan Hill on Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024.  At the forum, our school was honoured with a School Wide Positive Behaviour (SWPB) Blue Award for our ongoing commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire school community, led by Jamie-Lee Nunn our SWPBS leader.

Our Year 11 and 12 students will be starting their mid-year exams in week 8, leading up to the GAT in week 10.  We wish them all the best during this time before moving into their unit 2 or 4 studies for the rest of the year.

We also have our Year 10 into Year 11 information night scheduled on Tuesday, 11th June, 2024. This is a very important night for our Year 10 students to have support with their subject selections moving into VCE. This will then be followed with domain-based information sessions during school time for the students and then a Course Confirmation Day on Tuesday, 25th June, 2024, which will be a class free day for all year 10 students. Please keep your eye out for more information in the near future.

Thank you for your continued support as we strive for excellence at Red Cliffs Secondary College.

Mr. Brad Vallance, Assistant Principal
