PRINCIPAL UPDATE
We have had new families join us at Chilwell these past couple of weeks. We look forward to having them involved in our community and welcomed by everyone.
Very excited for Busker’s afternoon this Friday from 2:30pm. Students in grade 4, 5,and 6 have been working very hard to finalise their performances. We look forward to seeing parents and friends in attendance that are able to join us.
Next week we will be seeking feedback from families in relation to languages education here at Chilwell in 2025 and beyond. Please look out for the survey link via the Compass Newsfeed. We value your input and look forward to exploring our options moving forward.
Kind regards,
Meg
Child safety & wellbeing at Chilwell: Annual information for school community....
The Child Safe Standards (and Ministerial Order 1359 which governs how schools must implement the Child Safe Standards) require schools to ensure that families and other members of the school community are informed about and given the opportunity to have a say in the development and review of your school’s child safety and wellbeing policies and practices.
Chilwell PS is committed to providing an environment where students are safe and feel safe.
Our child safety framework and policies are available on our school’s website and explains how we support and maintain child safety and wellbeing. It includes our:
- Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy
- Child Safety Reporting and Responding Obligations Procedures, and
- Child Safety Code of Conduct, which outlines acceptable and unacceptable behaviours for all staff and volunteers at our school.
Our students and families are important partners in providing a child safe environment. These newsletter reminders are one of the ways we ensure our school community is aware of:
- our commitment to child safety, and
- how to provide feedback or raise child safety concerns.
If you have any concerns about child safety at any time, please contact Meg Bone or Sarah Jeffreys on (03) 52212738. Any child safety complaints or concerns are treated seriously. For more information about our school’s complaints process, see the Complaints policy on the school website...
