GAT Preparation

In their STRIVE session on Friday 31st of May, all students completing a Unit 3 and 4 subject were given an overview of the General Achievement Test (GAT). Students also completed practice GAT questions and analysed high-scoring model responses. They were able to show their understanding of the importance of the test and asked some excellent questions. Students will be sitting the GAT on Tuesday 18th of June.

AFTERSCHOOL ENGLISH AND MATHS TUTORING

We provide tutoring! And it's free! Each week in our school library, some of our awesome VCE Mathematics and English students tutor some of our equally amazing Year 7 and 8 students. 

Our VCE students who tutor afterschool offer the service of either extending Year 7 and 8 students who want to be really challenged or indeed they assist our junior students who may need that little extra help with either their English or Mathematics.  

It's totally free for our Year 7 and 8 students. And we pay our VCE students. That's right - we are providing employment for our VCE students. A win-win! To enable a great and effective learning relationship to develop, we ensure each week that our Year 7 and 8 students who wish to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity are tutored by the same VCE student. It's so fantastic to see this in action!
