Foundation ~ Prep News 

The Preps have been very busy in the last two weeks with swimming and learning about the weather. Interestingly our Preps linked the two by deciding that summer would be a better time to do swimming so we wouldn't get so cold. But they did come up with lots of ways to keep warm, during Investigations time.

It was wonderful to see the confidence in our children as the week progressed with swimming. It's hard to believe that in just 5 days, some children went from not wanting to put their head under water, to complete submersing!

In Investigations, we have been exploring the weather, particularly how we keep warm in the cold weather. The children came up with so many ideas and used these in their play.

 If we put extra clothes on and run around we will keep extra warm!

 Using a blanket or sleeping bag when camping, will help me stay warm.

 We are making a cot for the dolls and we will put lots of blankets in there.

 A campfire always helps you to keep warm!

Early Years ~ 1/2 News 

We are working hard on our reading fluency, in pairs we support each other and discuss what we are reading. We particularly love it when we come across new vocabulary! We discuss the origins of the word and its meaning and as an extra challenge we try to use that new word in context throughout the day!

Bookclub ~ Issue 4 

Book Club ISSUE 4 has arrived! Look out for your copy of Book Club coming home in your child's schoolbag! It's packed with hundreds of books from just $3 to help you on your child's reading journey.

We NO LONGER ACCEPT CASH for bookclub so all orders must be placed online. 

Orders are due by June 14th 2024.

All students in our school will perform in our production through a pastoral group musical number. Let's all come together to support our school and make this production a memorable success! Bravo to everyone involved,  let's make this journey to the stage a magical one!

Families please let us know if you would like to volunteer your time to support our production, we may need props, you may have a talent in makeup, sewing, ushering etc.  Please keep an eye out for more details.
