Last Friday our Charism Captains had the special opportunity to attend Mass at St Mary's Cathedral for the Feast of Mary Help of Christians. They celebrated this mass with students from every school within the Diocese of Sydney.
This term St Aidan’s will be running two fundraising initiatives for the St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal. Let’s help end the homelessness crisis together.
The focus for the 2024 Vinnies Winter Appeal women and children experiencing homelessness. Our school’s contributions to the Winter Appeal will allow Vinnies to continue supporting women and children who are homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless, to have access to the support they need to get back on their feet and to be safe and well.

Each week our students get the special privilege of having our parish priests visit our classes to support the learning in Religion. Last week Year 4 made a special trip to the church where Father Allan and Father Rafael explained the correct terminology for the objects within the Church.
Students in Year 3 and above who have not received their First Holy Communion are welcome to complete this sacrament this year. The Holy Family Parish has confirmed the date for Sunday 8 September. The time for this event has not yet been confirmed.
Students will prepare for this sacrament at school with Miss Siapkas, Mrs Smithson, Father Allan and Father Rafael. More information about this special occasion will be shared with parents later in the year.
