Dear Parents and Carers,
At St Aidan's we are committed to fostering lifelong learning and resilience in our students. Teaching primary school children resilience is essential for their emotional well-being and ability to cope with life’s challenges. Resilience helps them bounce back from setbacks, develop problem-solving skills, and maintain a positive outlook.
Here are some strategies that we implement at St Aidan's to foster resilience in our young learners:
ENCOURAGING A GROWTH MINDSET:
MODELING RESILIENCE:
PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS:
Resilience is a lifelong skill, and nurturing it early sets a strong foundation for children’s future well-being.
Congratulations to all of our Choir students who competed in the Sydney Catholic Schools Dance Eisteddfod last Wednesday and received an Encouragement Award. Mrs Shaw said they sang with confidence, energy and smiles, demonstrating great choir discipline. Thank you to our amazing choir teacher Mrs Shaw for teaching these students, both her and I are very proud of their efforts.
Students at St Aidan's are looking forward to showcasing many areas of their learning with their parents and families over the coming weeks. Please check the 'Dates for your diary' section of this newsletter to mark these imoprtant dates in your diary. Showcases include K-6 Dance Performances, Years 3-6 Amadeus Performances and K-6 Open Classrooms - all welcome. The students have worked so hard over the last semester. We are so proud of their achievements and personal growth and we love sharing these experiences with you.
In the coming weeks, you will notice some upgrades happening in our front playground. We are thrilled to introduce exciting new features for our students to enjoy during their break times.
Have a lovely week.
God bless.
