Year 11 and 12

Updates for Year 11 and 12 Students

Congratulations to our Senior School students on completing Unit 1 and Unit 3 of their VCE and VCE VM

Year 11 students have faced one of the most challenging leaps in their academic journey with the move to VCE. They have had to learn how to juggle outcome-based assessments to successfully pass their units. On top of this, our VCE VM students have also had to learn to how navigate the additional learning environments of TAFE and work placement.

We had 208 students complete the General Achievement Test on Tuesday 18 June. We commend our students for their efforts and conduct on what was a huge day for them. Students were able to share in some relaxing activities in the Hub between the two sections and enjoy the company of their friends and peers.

I encourage all our VCE students to have a balanced holiday that will allow them to start Term 3 both prepared and recharged. This is particularly important for our Year 12 VCE Students who will complete exams in November. All VCE students will have been given study to complete over the break and it is important that they put some time aside for this. However, it is equally important that they put some time aside for themselves: time to rest, to for things they enjoy,   and to connect with family and friends too. Hoo take some time for themselves to rest and recharge before Term 3 begins.

Wishing all of our students a safe and happy break.

Top Designs

On Friday, May 10, VCE Media and Visual Communication students visited the Top Designs at Melbourne exhibition celebrating the creativity of VCE and VET students of 2023. This was an opportunity for our students to explore different art forms and browse through student's folio, inspiring their own designs in the future.

Personal Development VM

The Year 12 VM class started to deliver their planned lessons to their peers in Personal Development Skills on May 31st. This assessment task is promoting working as a team to plan and execute an instructional activity to their peers. The focus of this lesson was to use playdoh as a creative outlet to maintain a healthy mindset, particularly in times of stress. The class was engaged, laughing and having fun following instructions by the two students, Jamila and Charlotte, to make a duck out of playdoh. These are some photographs to represent how successful the lesson went. Well done to these VM students!
