STAFFING UPDATES

T2 2024

Welcome to our new Aboriginal Community Education Officer, Jharni!

Hi, my name is Jharni Perry, I have just started as Hackham East in the role as ACEO. I come to Hackham East after spending 3 years at Aldinga Payinthi College as an SSO and 2 terms at Largs Bay Primary School as an ACEO SSO. I am a proud South Eastern/Tanganekald and Arrente woman. My family comes from Kingston SE and Jay Creek (NT). I look forward to working at Hackham East Primary School and connecting with all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and making sure our voices are heard and our needs are met.

French position

Unfortunately, due to health reasons Miss Caydence Beddison has had to suddenly end her contract for the rest of this year.

However, we are very fortunate that Ms April Woods has returned to our school and will take up the position for the rest of this year teaching on Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays! April is very familiar to our school having previously taught at HEPS for the past 7 years before taking some leave.

The focus of the teaching program will be on basic French, French culture as well as other countries cultures! Please note that due to these changes students will not receive a French grade for this year. Please feel free to contact Sally Slattery, Principal if you have any questions regarding this change.

Arts position

Mrs Melissa Thiele will be taking leave for the last 6 weeks of this term. We are currently working on securing a suitable replacement and will inform you via the newsletter when we have a teacher for the Arts program.
