Wellbeing update

International Women’s Day

On Friday 7 March we held our annual International Women’s Day breakfast.

Hosted by our Vice School Captain Cheryl C and our Community Prefect Georgia G, we heard from two BHHS alumni – Esther Johns (Class of 2010) and Tina Huang (Class of 2014). They shared stories of their experiences as women in the workforce, encouraging our audience to lean into their ambition and live their life to the fullest to accelerate action on gender equality.

Our panel members included Deputy Mayor for Box Hill, Cr Prue Cutts, our Principal Ms Kellie Ind, our School Captain Amiya C and our Community Prefect Harper L, who also shared their role models and the ways in which they challenge gender bias in their life. Thank you to all participants and the fantastic audience for an inspiring morning.

Staffing Update

We farewelled Joyce Soe in Week 7 as Colin Osborn returned from his leave. We thank Joyce for the care and compassion she showed all students during her time with us. Colin will be in contact with students he regularly sees to reconnect this term.
