Enrichment & Extension Activities

It is exciting to see so many students choosing to participate in the extension and enrichment activities which have been posted on Compass and Teams.
The following students will be participating in the Rostrum Voice of Youth public speaking competition which is being held at Mount Scopus Memorial College on Sunday 1 June. Students in the junior division prepare speeches which are 6 minutes in length, and those in the senior division prepare speeches which are 8 minutes in length.

We also have four Year 9 students competing in the Australian STEM Video Game Challenge. This requires the team to create a video game from scratch based on the theme ‘journey’. The team is being mentored by Aadarsh N, a Year 10 GAPP student who participated in the competition last year.

We congratulate the following Year 10 students on having their writing Longlisted in the Storyfest National Novella Writing Competition. These students made it to the top 9 submissions, which is a fantastic effort.

On Tuesday 18 March, the following students represented our school at the Model United Nations event held at the Centre for Higher Education Studies. These students became delegates for specific countries, and they discussed and debated the topic ‘Planet Ocean: Protecting the World’s Oceans, Seas, and Marine Resources’.
