Learning & Teaching News...

As you are aware, the purpose of SeeSaw at St. Mary’s is to showcase your child’s learning. Seesaw will become a very inclusive learning tool this year, and one that can support your child’s learning, no matter their age or ability. It is where you will be able to see what your child will be engaged in for the term’s learning and how they are progressing through that learning.
Evidence shows that students who have time for reflection and are given feedback their learning is enhanced. This feedback does not only have to be with their peers or teachers, but YOU as well.
We have developed easy sentence starters under three headings that will help you respond to your child’s post for the week. (The T.A.G. poster below) All you need to do is log onto the SeeSaw platform and view the learning. These sentence starters will get the conversation going and maybe stop the ‘I didn’t do much today’ or ‘I played’ responses as they want to share their successes. Please remember that these learnings may be a work in progress and have errors clearly evident, as the students are the driver of what is being placed on their platform.
Also, this is the place you will now find class excursion/incursion and experiences photographs of your child. Please ensure you have filled in the correct forms (Photo Permission Form) to help us in knowing what photos we can share.
We will pop this T.A.G.poster in the newsletter each week for you to access and help you respond to your child’s learning.
