PARENTS AND FRIENDS

A big thank you to everyone who attended our recent P&F (Parents and Friends) meeting!  We had a fantastic turnout, and it was wonderful to meet so many new faces. The sense of community was truly evident, and I’m excited to be working alongside such a connected and supportive group of people.

It’s clear that we all share a passion for creating a positive environment for our school, and I look forward to what we can achieve together this year. If you haven't yet, please consider volunteering to assist with any upcoming special events. Your help and involvement would be greatly appreciated!

This week I have added a P&F page to this newsletter.  Please refer to this page with each publication - it is important for everyone to know about upcoming events and how we can contribute.  The first event for this term is PANCAKES on Shrove Tuesday (March 4) - more information on the P&F page.

Once again, thank you to all who joined us, and for those who couldn’t make it please feel free to make contact if you would like to support in some way. Let’s continue to work together to make this a fantastic year for our school community!

EASTER RAFFLE

VISIT MY CLASSROOM - & chat with Mary!

This term, I’d love to meet with parents from each year level in an informal setting.  This is an opportunity to get to know each other better, and for me to address (as best I can) any burning questions you may have.  With that in mind, we're hosting separate 'Visit My Classroom' sessions for each year level.  Parents and carers will have the opportunity to stay after 'drop-off' and visit your child's classroom, then join me for morning tea in the staffroom.

Next week, I’ll send out the relevant dates. I really hope you can join me! It will be a wonderful chance to hear your thoughts about St Mary’s and connect with all of you.

SACRAMENT of RECONCILIATION

Please keep the following children in your thoughts and prayers as they prepare to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Please see the Education in Faith section of this newsletter for more information about this Sacrament.

NEW SCHOOL EXPECTATIONS

We are pleased to present the new St Mary’s expectations to our school community.   Students have unpacked these in class with teachers and they are displayed in each learning space and in our yard as a reminder of how we should behave to ensure everyone’s safety and to make our school operates smoothly and calmly.

SCHOOL LUNCH ORDERS - Classroom Cuisine

Starting Wednesday, March 5, we will be offering school lunch orders through Classroom

Cuisine. This service will provide healthy lunch options for students, delivered directly to the school late in the morning or early afternoon.

Details:

  • Lunch orders will be available every school day except Tuesday.
  • On days when the P&F have organised “special lunch” events, these dates will be blocked out in the system.
  • Orders can be placed online through the Classroom Cuisine website.
  • This service is for lunch only and does not include recess/morning tea.

We hope this new option makes lunchtime easier for families and provides a healthy meal choice for students.

DISTRICT SWIMMING CARNIVAL

Congratulations to the incredible group of St Mary’s students who represented our school in the recent district swimming competition!   By all accounts, you represented our school wonderfully and with pride.

SCHOOL ATHLETICS CARNIVAL

Join us on Friday, March 14th for an exciting day of sports, fun, and community spirit. We’d love for you to come along and cheer on the students as they compete in various events. It’s going to be an amazing day filled with energy, teamwork, and celebration. Don’t miss out on the action – we can’t wait to see you there!"

My Apologies...

My apologies for not being able to attend assembly today.  I had a staff professional development day at St Joseph's.  Being present at assemblies is important to me and I will always endeavour to be there to celebrate student achievements and share 'what happening' with everyone.

Have a great weekend!!

Mary.
