2026 Kindergarten

As some of you may know, the demand for the school is currently extremely high. For Kindergarten 2026, we have over 70 applications for enrolment, which means there will be a significant number of families who will miss out on an education at our school, as we only have space for two classes of children.

Our non sibling interviews for 2026 are taking place on two Saturdays in late March. I am asking for your support as a community in two ways.

  1. If you have a child you are planning to enroll at the school in 2026, you must submit an application form (not an interview yet) by the 22nd of March. If the form is not submitted, I cannot guarantee a place for your child in 2026. As you know, siblings generally receive automatic entry, but we still require an application form.
  2. If you have a cousin, family friend, church friend, or anyone else planning to attend the school in 2026 whom we haven’t heard from yet, there is still time for them to apply for a place, but they must do so within the next few weeks. Nearly every year, we have people who try to enroll later in the year, and usually, this is fine. However, due to the high number of siblings and the overall demand for the school, this will not be possible for 2026. Please encourage them to apply as soon as possible so they can be included in the interviews at the end of March.
  3. If you have friends who wish to apply for 2027, now is a good time to make them aware of the school.
  4. It’s not just our school experiencing high demand—high school placements are filling up quickly. We strongly encourage our Year 5/6 families to start exploring high school options and submitting applications as soon as possible. Faith-based schools, in particular, tend to reach capacity quickly. If your child is in Year 6 and you have not yet submitted an application, it’s essential to prioritise this to secure a place at your preferred school. On Monday afternoon, we’ll be welcoming Mr. Barnard, the principal of Regents Park Christian School, who will speak with our Year 5/6 students about high school readiness and distribute open day invitations. He will also be available in the Library from 3:15 to 3:30 pm for an informal meet-and-greet with families.

HopePoint’s First Easter Market

As an initiative from HopePoint Church, we are very excited to launch our first community market on site. Our hope is that this initiative will further strengthen our relationship with our Georges Hall (and broader) community.

On Saturday the 12th April, we are holding an Easter Market from 8am-1pm and we are inviting you to be a stall holder. If you have a small business or an initiative to bless our community (free clothing/toys), we would love to hear from you and offer you the chance to set up a stall on the day for free. We already have a number of people coming to do a stall and we are hoping that some of our school/preschool families will come on board to be a part of this event, highlighting our amazing community.

If you are interested, or if you know someone who might be, please complete this expression of interest form at your earliest convenience or email ruthie@hopepointchurch.org.au. Also, please save the date so that you can attend.

Band Program

It was wonderful to see our students receive their instruments this week. We can’t wait to hear the wonderful music our students will create and look forward to their growth throughout band practice this year!
