SECONDARY (7-12)

Unit 3 Psychology

Macie, the College's Wellbeing Dog, visited the Unit 3 Psychology class this morning. The class is currently studying 'how we learn'. Learning Mentor Stephen, who is Macie's dad, spoke to the class about how he has trained Macie to sit, high five, stay and come when she is called. The class was then able to identify how his training aligns to what they have learnt about operant conditioning and how he used positive reinforcement, in the form of treats and praise, to teach Macie.

Year 10 Melbourne City Camp

Planning is well underway for the Year 10 Melbourne City Camp, which will take place from Monday 19 May - Wednesday 21 May. Students have identified the tertiary education providers they may like to visit, as well as some special experiences they may want to engage in while in the Melbourne CBD. Students have been asked to notify employers of their absence during this time.

We would like to request families support the students with this, as well as advise the College of any dietary requirements for camp. Students have been asked to do so, but parents are welcome to ensure this information is communicated correctly by emailing the camp organiser Sarah Baglin on sbaglin@sackialla.catholic.edu.au

Please note that students will travel via V/Line and Metro train and tram services during this camp, with the drop off and pick up location being Shepparton Train Station, Purcell St, Shepparton.

A reminder that all camps at St Anne's College are a compulsory part of the learning program and many adjustments can be made to support ALL students accessing these experiences. We ask that you contact the College ASAP if you have any concerns about your child's attendance on this camp.

Year 10 Formal Date
