Dream and Lead Conference 2025

On Thursday the 13th of March, I had the absolute pleasure of attending the 2025 Dream and Lead Conference with nine of our student leaders. This conference was held at the International Convention Centre in Darling Harbour. On the day, our student leaders learnt all about leadership, how to create change, how to be a great public speaker and how to rise together for the benefit of our school. The day was highly energetic and very inspirational. Our student leaders returned to school with lots of great ideas to create positive change! I was exceptionally proud of our students. They represented our school with pride and displayed huge initiative. I thank the parents who travelled to Sydney with their children to enable them to attend this very worthwhile day.

Project Compassion 2025

Thank you to those who have contributed to Project Compassion so far. Donation boxes were sent home at the beginning of Lent and are an important part of Almsgiving. Project Compassion boxes need to be returned to your child’s teacher in Week 10 of this term.

    Did you know?

Lent began on Ash Wednesday. The word Lent comes from the Anglo-Saxon word, læncte meaning ‘lengthening of daylight hours’.

Lent occurs during Spring in the northern hemisphere.

Lent in Australia is during Autumn as we live in the Southern Hemisphere. Our days are shortening as we head towards Winter. Regardless of where we live in the world, over the forty-day period of Lent we are called to examine and renew our spiritual life.

It is a time of prayer, almsgiving and fasting. These are the 3 pillars of Lent.

Have a great fortnight and God Bless.
