Whole School Liturgy

Our St Virgil’s College community welcomed all students from Junior to Senior to celebrate our Opening Whole School Liturgy. It was a fantastic opportunity for our campuses to come together, welcome students into 2025, celebrate our Year 12 and Preps with our legacy clay cross piece, recognise our impressive 2024 ATAR achievements, and finally provide our Year 12 students with their leaver’s tops. It was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the College life and our amazing community.

It was a ceremony to remember with our Whole School Choir singing ‘King of All Ages’ and the Edmund Rice Anthem. The amazing voices of our Staff and Students uplifted our College and made our ceremony.

Shrove Tuesday

Our St Virgil’s Community indulged in Shrove Tuesday in preparation for Lent. Thank you to the SVC community for answering the call and providing a mountain's worth of pancake mix, maple syrup and lemons! All funds from Shrove Tuesday go towards Project Compassion – Caritas Australia.

Staff and students lent their time in the early morning on Tuesday to cook over 300 pancakes. We were able to sell these in under 20 minutes and raised over $500.

Lenten Reflection

As the College begins its Lenten journey begins, we are running reflection groups at 8.00 am in our Senior Campus Chapel. All students and staff are welcome to join. It is a quiet time of reflection during our Lenten period for our College.

International Women’s Day

Our SVC Community will be advocating for International Women’s Day on Friday 7 March. Our Junior and Senior College will be highlighting, celebrating and advocating for the important female figures in our lives. We have challenged the students to reflect upon how they interact with the important female figure in their lives.

Through this, we want to ‘accelerate action’ from our community to celebrate but more importantly, advocate.
