Last week was another big week for our College, with the Senior School Athletics Carnival on Wednesday and our Years 7-9 Parent Information Evening on Thursday night. Both events are a testament to the dedication of our College staff and the extra mile they go to provide the best possible outcomes for our students. The vibe at both events was impressive. Every student “had a go” at the carnival, participating to the best of their ability and the atmosphere was electric. Congratulations to Dwyer, who won the carnival by a narrow margin. The Parent Information Evening was well attended, and staff, students and parents/carers enjoyed chatting over a sausage sizzle. I thank those parents/carers who were able to attend, we often speak about the importance of the three-way partnership – that between the college, student and parents/carers. These events are a great opportunity for parents/carers and students to chat with their class and PC teachers in an informal manner to build the relationships that we know are so important in every student’s learning.
We have had some inquiries lately regarding what uniform the students should be wearing on the days they have ITD (metal, wood etc). Please note the following which explains our expectations:
Years 7-8
Formal uniform (Unless they are in sport for an alternative reason)
Apron (worn in class and provided by the teacher)
Years 9-10
Formal uniform (Unless they are in sport for an alternative reason)
Overalls (worn in class and provided by the teacher)
