Principals Message

Dear families,
NAPLAN
We are extremely proud of our Year 3 and Year 5 students for successfully completing NAPLAN. Their hard work, dedication, and determination throughout the process are truly commendable. Well-done to all – we look forward to seeing your continued growth and achievements.
Athletics
Yesterday, our students proudly represented St. Mary’s at the Athletics in Shepperton. It was a warm day filled with energy, sportsmanship, and outstanding performances. We are thrilled to share that many of our talented students brought home ribbons.
A huge thank you goes out to the staff and parent helpers who made this event possible. Your support, time, and effort ensured our students had the best experience possible.
Congratulations to all of our students who participated – your efforts made us all proud!
Three-week holiday break
A reminder that this term break will be slightly longer than normal as Catholic Education Sandhurst have professional learning planned for all 51 schools in the diocese. St Mary’s staff will work alongside our sister schools of St Joseph’s Nagambie and Holy Rosary Heathcote during the three days, coming back as our St Mary’s staff on the Thursday for collegiality.
The focus of the learning is the Neuroscience of Learning – understanding how the brain works and strategies and practices that we can adopt to provide the very best environment for our students to learn and grow. Dr Jared Cooney Horvat (Author of many peer-reviewed journals and texts) will be the facilitator for the professional development.
Attendance Matters
Attendance matters! When children attend school regularly, they have the best opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed. Being at school each day helps them build knowledge, develop friendships, and stay engaged in their learning.
Missing school can make it harder to keep up, leading to gaps in learning and missed social opportunities. Consistent attendance sets children up for success, not just in school but in the future as well. Everyday counts! 😊📚
Thank you for a fantastic term and please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or queries.
God Bless
Vin Ryan
