Primary Student Leaders' Journal

On the 26th of March, Aparanj, Amyra, Siri and myself went on a leadership conference at Melbourne Exhibition Centre. It was great opportunity where we learnt about public speaking strategies, ways to help people who are sad, making other people’s life less difficult and that our age doesn’t stop our ability to change. We also met new leaders from other schools, across Victoria. Each one of the speakers had their own quotes related to their part, but by far my favourite one has to have been “Dream big, start small. But most of all: start.” – Simon Sinek. We also met the owner of Youth Leadership Academy Australia Wil and heard his story of why he wanted to empower and train the next generation of leaders like myself.

The Student Leader Conference was an exciting and inspiring adventure! As the School Captain of Christway College, I had the chance to connect with amazing student leaders and discover what it truly means to lead with passion and purpose. We dived into practical tips on effective communication, building strong teams, and leading with empathy. It was all about embracing our unique strengths and inspiring others to do the same. The conference left me feeling motivated and ready to take on new challenges, with a fresh perspective on how to make a positive impact at Christway College!
