Principal's Message

It’s been a busy and exciting start to the term at Kismet Park! Students have settled back into their learning routines with enthusiasm, and it’s been fantastic to see such high levels of engagement across the school.

You may have noticed the progress at our front entrance, with the new pathway and landscaping works nearing completion. These upgrades will significantly improve accessibility and safety for all members of our community.

The front sliding gate will be closed/locked at 9:15am each day, and opened at 2:45pm.

As we move through the term, I’d like to take a moment to remind families about the importance of cyber safety and active supervision on children’s devices and social media platforms at home. In line with Department of Education expectations, we encourage parents and carers to know what’s happening on their child’s technology. Who they’re connecting with, what platforms they’re using, and how they’re engaging online. Open conversations and consistent supervision help keep children safe and support positive digital habits.

Sunbury Show – “Living in Colour”

Last weekend, our students performed a shortened version of our school production, Living in Colour, at the Sunbury Show. The performance was full of energy, colour, and confidence, and it was wonderful to see our students shining on stage once again.

Alongside the performance, our art display showcased the creativity and talent of our students and was enjoyed by many show visitors. There are now photos displayed in the foyer capturing the excitement and joy of the Living Colour Performance, be sure to stop by and take a look!

Prep and Year 1/2 Swimming Program (and Lost Property!)

Our Year 1/2 students took to the pool last week, followed by our Preps this week, and what a fantastic fortnight it’s been! Students have been learning essential water safety skills, building confidence, and showing great teamwork and enthusiasm in every session.

It’s been wonderful to see so many smiling faces and brave swimmers giving everything a go. Well done to all our students for making a splash!

And while our swimming program has been a success, our lost property has also enjoyed a record-breaking couple of weeks. If you’re missing a towel, goggles, or any other clothing items, chances are it’s living its best life in the lost property near the office. Please drop by and help us reunite these items with their rightful owners.

Year 5/6 Camp

Next week (Monday 27th- Wednesday 29th), our Year 5/6 students head off to The Summit Camp for an action-packed week of adventure, teamwork, and fun. We wish them an amazing time as they take on new challenges, build friendships, and create memories to last a lifetime.

As we head into next week, a reminder that Monday 3rd November is a Curriculum Day (no students required at school) and Tuesday 4th November is the Melbourne Cup Public Holiday.

Thank you for a great start to Term 4 at Kismet Park , it’s been fantastic to see our students thriving both in and out of the classroom. Enjoy the long weekend when it arrives, and hopefully everyone gets a chance to relax, recharge, and maybe even find a few missing jumpers in the process!
