Good morning, Parents/Carers,

We have reached the middle of Term 4.  This week will be much quieter as we get back into and focus on learning.  

Behaviour Focus

Our behaviour focus for Week 6 is Safe,

We are learning to:

• Tell the truth

   

What does it look and sound like:

• Respect yourself enough to speak the truth
• Being honest no matter what the consequence
• Being honest allows you to not feel guilty
• Knowing right from wrong leads to being trustworthy
• Don't blame others - take ownership

Yrs 3-6 Sydney Excursion

Our Yrs 3-6 had an amazing experience in Sydney last week.  Head over to our Sydney Excursion tab to view all the photos and catch up on our adventures.

Kinder Transition

We held our second Kinder Transition last Friday, 14th November.  All of our new kinder preps are settling in and enjoying the experience.  We have another two sessions to go.  We invite all children eligible to enroll in 2026 to attend. Enrolment packages are now available to collect from the office.  If you require an enrolment package, please do not hesitate to contact the school office on 6768 7065.

2026 Year 6 Shirts

All orders and deposit of $20 for 2026 Yr 6 Shirts needs to be given to the office by this Friday, 21st November so we can order and have them available at the beginning of 2026.

School Swimming and Water Safety Program

Our School Swimming Program will be running from Monday, 24th November to Friday, 5th December 2026.  We have opened the program to all students in K-6 this year.  We will be focusing on our previous program for those students who are not confident swimmers and our more confident swimmers will be focusing on stroke correction and water safety.  Notes were sent home with all students back in Week 4.  If you are yet to return notes, please ensure you do so by tomorrow Wednesday, 19th November so we can co-ordinate and arrange our students into the correct groupings.  If you require a new note, please contact the school office.

Undercover Harmonies

Werris Creek Library is hosting our Yrs 3-6 cohorts next Tuesday, 25th November for an Undercover Harmonies session.  Students will learn to sing a song in harmony with musical accompaniment following instructions from experienced tutors.  Parents, friends and the community are invited to come along to the library at 1pm to listen and enjoy the student's performance.

Year 5 Captains Speeches

Our Year 5 students have been working on perfecting their Captains Speeches to be in the running for School Captain in 2026.  We will be holding our Captain Speeches on Tuesday, 2nd December at 9:30am and we invite Parents/Carers and families to hear our students give their speech on why they should be chosen for School Captain in 2026.

Year 6 High School Orientation Day

High School Orientation Day for all students entering into Year 7 in 2026 will be held on Tuesday, 2nd December at their nominated Public High School.  Those students entering High School in the private sector, please contact your nominated school for orientation day dates.
