2026 Foundation Transition
We are thrilled to continue welcoming our 2026 Foundation students to their weekly Transition Sessions every Thursday. It is wonderful to see how confidently our future learners are settling into their new environment, making new friends, and reconnecting with familiar faces from kinder and daycare.
A big thank you to Mrs. Rogers, who has been engaging our students with developmental play and a new story each week. While Mrs. Rogers was on leave last week, I had the pleasure of running the session myself and was genuinely impressed by how polite, enthusiastic, and eager to learn our new students are. Hearing from parents about how much their children look forward to these sessions each week is always a highlight for us.
For our 2026 Foundation families, please note:
Statewide Orientation Day: Tuesday, 9th December – all 2026 Foundation students will attend. More details will follow soon.
Finally, if you have a child starting school in 2026—or know family or friends who do—please encourage them to collect an enrolment pack from our school office. Our transition program is an important step in helping students feel confident and ready for school.
Enrolments for 2026 at Deer Park West Primary School are still open!

Kind regards,

Joshua Fielding
Assistant Principal
Hello Everyone,
Pride and Integrity Raffle
This raffle recognizes all the students who are attending school on time. This is to acknowledge the students demonstrating Pride and Integrity by being ready to learn each day.
Every student who is at school, and in their classroom, before the bell (9am) will have their name added to the class attendance box. So, if they are present on time, every day of the week, they will have 5 entries into the raffle.
Weeks 5 and 6 will be announced in next week’s newsletter
2025 Term 4 Challenge of the Week
This term’s challenge is a series of Brain Teasers. Some of them will be like riddles, some will be around maths or language.
Week 6: Brain Teasers
You need to try to answer the brain teasers as best you can.
You must collaborate with at least one other person (a friend, parent, classmate, etc) and no more than 3 other people. If you do not collaborate, you will not receive a PAC for collaboration.

Kind regards,

Deanne Scott
