KidsRoar - Week 7 & 8

Dear Families,

Over the next two weeks, our students from Foundation to Year 5 will take part in KidsRoar sessions focusing on body parts and body safety. These sessions are designed to help children build confidence, develop a healthy understanding of their bodies, and learn how to keep themselves safe.

Through stories, games, and discussions, students will explore topics such as:

  • Understanding the correct names for body parts
  • Recognising private body parts and personal boundaries
  • Identifying safe and unsafe touches
  • Knowing who trusted adults are and how to ask for help

The sessions will be delivered in a positive, age-appropriate way that encourages children to speak up, ask questions, and feel empowered about their right to be safe. We look forward to working with KidsRoar as they support our students to learn these important lifelong safety skills.

Thank you to the families who took the opportunity to join the KidsRoar Parent session on Tuesday night to learn further the importance of the program and what to expect from the sessions our students will engage in. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s classroom teacher.

Kindest regards,

Jen Gulavin
