Whole School ICU:

Last Friday, the whole school learned about the planets in our solar system! Students were given the task of painting one of our magnificent planets before completing an information report on a planet of their choice. How awesome does our solar system look in the senior room?

Junior Literacy:

In F-2 Literacy students have begun their new text-based unit looking deeper into Possum Magic and understanding how the proper nouns are used throughout the book. After identifying some of the proper nouns the students indulged themselves by having some lamingtons just like Hush did to make her fully appear in the book! 

Writing:

The senior students have been working on writing narratives during writing lessons over the past few weeks. This week, Fin was brave enough to offer his piece of writing to be analysed by his peers. Students used a student friendly rubric to analyse Fin's writing and offered him some valuable feedback. Students considered elements of writing such as the inclusion of ambitious words and phrases, connectives, punctuation and variation of sentence length. We look forward to more students sharing their writing with their classmates and being confident enough to receive and give feedback to their peers.
