Science Excursion
Science Excursion at St John's Regional College
On the 9th of August we went to St John’s for a phenomenal science excursion. Today I'm going to keep you informed about what we did.
First we went through the states of matter again. They are solid, liquid and gas. Then we did the first experiment which was the precipitation reaction. We poured Sodium Carbonate into a test tube and then Copper Sulphate, and once we did that something exceptional happened… It turned blue!
Next we did a test with a balloon. You needed a 250ml Conical flask, a balloon with baking soda, 10ml vinegar and a couple of other things. The gas made the balloon blow up.
Finally we made some slime. It was so fun! It was so sticky on our hands - it was like glazing was on our hands! We even took the slime home with us!
It was a fun excursion to go to and I can't wait for the next time I get to go there.
