Leadership Report
It may be the peak of winter, but that hasn't stopped us having a super busy month of August. We've had parent workshops, multiple incursions and excursions, SAPSASA knockout sports, Book Week, choir rehearsals and a Year 5 camp. Sounds like everyone needs a mini break after all that! Don't forget our pupil free day on Friday 30th August and our school closure on Monday 2nd September.
I want to congratulate our junior school band for their outstanding performance at the ABODA Festival, achieving a gold standard from the judges. One of only 3 schools to do so and ended up 2nd overall. Magill was the only public primary school competing against private schools in this category.
An absolutely outstanding effort and one that everyone should be proud of. Huge thanks to our conductor Nick and the Instrumental Music teachers Aaron, Peter, Peter for their support. Also thanks to Rachel for all of her organisation and our parent volunteers.
The end of Term 3 is a time when some families may like to book in a learning conversation. We know that many parents and caregivers touch base regularly but just in case you haven't, now is a good time to get in touch with your child's teacher. Conversations can be held over the phone or in person. Please contact your child's teacher to organise a time.
The annual parent survey is underway and closes midnight Sunday 8 September. For more information please visit the department’s website.
This survey aims to get your views on:
- what we’re doing well
- where we can improve
- what’s important to you as a parent/carer.
Your answers won't identify you or your child and only collated feedback is provided to our school. You should have already received a link to the survey via email or SMS. Reminder emails are currently being sent to you unless you have completed a survey or have unsubscribed. Please take the time to complete the survey, this is valuable information for our school.
If you cannot find the previously sent link, then please use this one:

Enjoy the extra long weekend!
