5/6 News
The past few weeks our students have been looking at poetry during Literacy and also their Inquiry unit. Learning poetry encourages creativity, critical thinking, and emotional expression, making it a valuable part of their literary education. When students learn about poetry, they explore a variety of themes, techniques, and forms that help them appreciate and analyse poems.
Our Inquiry unit this term is called "Care for the kids" students have been learning how other children in the world live and considered ways they can make a difference. Students have completed numerous poems around this topic and will be given the opportunity to perform their poem in a 'slam style.'
