Kids Helpline Session - Resilience
3/4 students enjoyed a virtual session on resilience which was run by Kids Helpline. During this time, students understood the meaning of resilience, what it means to have resilience and how we can try our best to persevere during difficult times.
The Opening of our Indigenous Sensory Garden
Last week we enjoyed the opening of our Indigenous sensory garden. 3/4's also loved the activities that were available which included making baskets, necklaces ad weaving.
Crack that Whip!
Alby brought in his whip last week to show us how difficult it actually is to crack a whip.
Father's/Special Person's Day
We hope all of our the Father's and Special People in our 3/4's lives enjoyed receiving their hand made steak rubs!
Maths Hoops
To finish off the term, 3/4's will be putting their maths skills into action to play Maths Hoops. NBA Math Hoops leverages the game of basketball and the NBA/WNBA brands to build fundamental math and social-emotional skills through a physical and digital basketball-themed board game, a curriculum, and a community program experience.
This week, students began making their own player cards by creating stats from the amount of shots they made around the court. Students also developed their own basketball team by taking part in a draft where they were required to compare statistics of players and then select only 5 players consisting of 2 guards, 2 forwards and 1 centre/sub forward.
General Reminders
Showcase - 3/4's will be joining Grade 2's to showcase their 'Social Justice' Inquiry work on Wednesday the 18th of September @ 2:30pm. We would love for you to come and join us to celebrate their work.

Camp - Next term we will be heading to Torrumbarry for our 3/4 camp. Please check Compass for further detail and to complete payment for your child.
Just a reminder that at our school we do not tolerate swearing. If a child is heard swearing they will be asked to phone home and explain the reason for the call.
