School Council - Snapshot

Hello everyone! 

School Council met onsite, in our new building, Rooms F2/F3 on 23 July - the rooms are extremely comfortable, bright, and airy!

Our Principal, Mr Ruff, presented the 2023 Annual Report to School Council and I remind people that copies of the report are available at the General Office and on the college website.

We welcomed to School Council Adam Kliska, who was co-opted to fill a vacancy.  We discussed several issues after listening to reports from our Student Representatives Angus, Leroy and Teiva. They let us know that the barbecue to finish the Push-Up challenge was enjoyed by all the students, staff, and members of school council.  

Feedback from the students who attended the Central Australia camp was enthusiastic with everyone going away with memorable experiences.

The Professional Learning Day was a full agenda with discussions and presentations on a variety of subjects, including, disability and inclusion.  We also had current students attend and present to the staff on current learnings, at Mullauna Secondary College.

Our Parent and Community President, Elisabeth updated us on the new second hand school uniform, the celebration of “Lamington Day”, the successful barbecue to end the Push-Up challenge and the upcoming Comedy Festival to be held here at Mullauna on Saturday 7 September - tickets still available!

Over the school holiday break, the front of the school was transformed with new landscaping and painting of the exterior was completed.  New outdoor electronic screens are currently being investigated for installation.

The sunshine has been out this past week and I hope everyone has had a chance to get out and enjoy some!
