Updates from Miss Maree

Dear Families

After a few hectic weeks/months of audits and reviews we are almost at the end of them. Although we haven't received the final report of the School Improvement Review, the reviewers were able to share with myself and the staff some of their findings which were very pleasing. I look forward to sharing the results with you as soon as we get them.

Over the past two weeks you may have received some emails/links to some surveys; one being a principal appraisal survey and the other a survey on school engagement. Please take the time to complete these as they provide valuable input for the school.

Last week St Joseph's rolled over their technology to align with CES who have been using Microsoft 365 for the past year. Please be patient if there are a few hiccups as we become more familiar with this program. We have not changed devices yet but this may happen once our leases come up for renewal. We will keep you up to date when/if this happens.

Congratulation and welcome to the world Kaeden Milana who was born on the 18th August. A beautiful little brother to Lucas in Year 2. We can't wait to meet him!

Last week we had another very successful Book Week with amazing costumes, great activities, students led book readings and a wonderful afternoon of craft for students and families which was so well attended. A huge thank you to Shania for organising such a jam packed week!

This Friday (August 30th)we welcome all Dads, Grandads and male figures to our Father's Day breakfast for coffee and donuts. This will be held near the library and stage area from 8 o'clock onwards. We look forward to seeing everyone.

If you have driven down Church Street in the last week you will have noticed we FINALLY have some work happening on the site where Mackillop ELC will be placed. It is hoped that everything will be completed by November (let's keep our fingers crossed).

Have a wonderful week everyone.

Take care and stay safe,

Maree
